Amanda Brown
Amanda Brown is a graduate of Spalding University and holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology. She is also a graduate of Lindsey Wilson College and has a Masters in Education Counseling with a focus on Mental Health. She is a trauma-informed, Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA), specializing in adolescents and adults who have in the past, or are currently experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, or serious and persistent mental illness. She also has a certificate in substance abuse counseling and works with clients who are struggling with substance use disorder. Amanda uses a variety of therapies such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and expressive therapies (art, writing, and play) to help clients find relief and reach their identified mental health goals. She works to tailor her therapy to a client's needs and strengths. Amanda works under the clinical supervision of Alaina Newman, LPCC-S.
